A fireside feast inspired by Tasmania’s bounty

Join us on 3rd May for a fireside feast celebrating Tasmania’s winter harvest, with chef and fire-cooking expert Sarah Glover. 

We are bringing her back to Tassie where her wildly successful career began! Sarah Glover is an internationally recognised chef and author. Throughout her career, Sarah has blazed a trail in the culinary world, publishing the award-winning Wild Adventure, Wild Child and Open Skies cookbooks. 

With her roots and culinary escapades founded in Tasmania, Sarah now bounces between Australia and the USA, where she has cooked for the likes of Martha Stewart and Gordon Ramsay, and shares her knowledge around creating world class sustainable fare, specialising in open fire large scale immersive experiences. 

In this immersive dining experience, Sarah Glover teams up with Piermont’s Head Chef, Calvin King, to craft a spectacular meal over open flames. Watch up close as they roast and smoke seafood and meats over a fire pit, using resources and equipment sourced directly from the Piermont grounds.

Set in Piermont’s stunning outdoor amphitheatre, this one-of-a-kind collaboration showcases bold, wild flavours, open-flame cooking, and the very best of Tasmania’s seasonal produce.

1. What kind of food will be served?

Expect an interactive fireside feast featuring locally sourced meats, seafood, and seasonal produce, all cooked over an open flame. The menu will showcase Tasmania’s best winter bounty with bold, smoky flavours.

2. Where and when is the event?

The event takes place at Piermont Retreat in the outdoor amphitheatre on 3rd May 2025, starting from 4:00 PM onwards.

3. What’s included in my ticket?

Your ticket grants access to the fireside feast, where you’ll enjoy expertly prepared dishes inspired by Tasmania’s winter bounty. Plus a $15 drink voucher to redeem on your first beverage on the night. There’s also live music by The Runaway Bells and pop-up bars for additional drinks (purchased separately). 

4. Can I bring children?

Yes! Children are welcome to attend this family-friendly event. Please book tickets online. 

5. What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

  • A picnic rug or pillows to make your space comfy. 
  • Warm clothing and blankets—this is an outdoor event in autumn!
  • A sense of adventure and an appetite for amazing food.

6. Is this a seated event?

Not in the traditional sense! The event is designed to be an immersive, fireside experience. There will be casual seating in the tiered amphitheatre and standing spaces around the fire pit. Picnics rugs and pillows will be provided for comfort but feel free to bring along your own creature comforts.

7. Will drinks be available for purchase?

Yes! There will be pop-up bars serving a selection of Tasmanian wines, craft beers, mulled wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

8. What happens if it rains?

This is an all-weather event. We’ll have undercover options available, but dressing warmly and being prepared for the elements is advised.

9. Can I bring my own food and drinks?

No outside food or drinks are not permitted, as the event is fully catered. There will be plenty of options available on-site.

10. Are there vegetarian options?

Yes! The chefs will be catering for vegetarian dietary preferences. If you have specific dietary requirements, please let us know in advance when booking your ticket. Please note Vegan, FODMAP and shellfish allergies cannot be catered for due to the special nature of this event. 

11. How do I buy tickets?
