Where is Piermont located?
Piermont is on Tasmania’s east coast, overlooking Great Oyster Bay and Freycinet National Park. Located 1.5hrs from Hobart or Launceston airport. Please take your time traveling here; the roads can be narrow, winding, and wildlife is abundant.

What are the reception hours, and what if I arrive late?
Reception operates from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For late arrivals, text or WhatsApp the team at +61 487 399 225 for instructions.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

Do accommodations include breakfast?
Yes, your first breakfast is on us! Complimentary breakfast provisions for one morning include sourdough, local eggs, granola, milk, butter and preserves. 

What are the restaurant opening hours?
Lunch daily from 12:30 PM to 3 PM and Dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 6 PM. 

Does my room booking guarantee a restaurant reservation?
Please note that booking accommodation at Piermont does not automatically secure a reservation at the Homestead Restaurant. To ensure you can dine with us, we recommend making a restaurant booking as early as possible. We host many special events throughout the year and the restaurant may be booked exclusively months in advance. Planning ahead and confirming with our team will help avoid disappointment during your stay.

Are there dining options for special dietary needs?
Yes, dietary preferences like vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, and gluten-free are accommodated with advance notice.

Is Piermont family-friendly?
Yes, accommodations and activities are suitable for families seeking quality time together.

Is Piermont pet-friendly?
No, pets are not permitted on-site to maintain the natural environment.

Will I encounter wildlife when visiting?
Piermont is home to native animals like wallabies, kangaroos, pademelons, kookaburras, cockatoos, and wedge-tailed eagles, as well as non-native species such as possums, pheasants, rabbits, hares, and sheep. While close to nature, we also have spiders, snakes, and millipedes. Please avoid feeding the possums and keep a safe distance from all wildlife. The millipedes are harmless, and we actively manage their presence.

What activities can I enjoy?
While there’s plenty to explore outside of Piermont, we have 230 acres of beautiful property to discover. Options include kayaking, cycling, hiking, and beach relaxing with stunning views of Great Oyster Bay.

What are the pool and tennis court facilities?
The outdoor, unheated pool and tennis court are open year-round. Pool towels are provided at the entrance, and tennis equipment is available in the wooden box beside the court. No booking required. 

What about spa facilities?

Can I host weddings or events at Piermont?
Yes, Piermont specialises in hosting intimate weddings and bespoke events. Please get in touch with the team on enquiries@piermont.com.au 

Can I access Wi-Fi during my stay?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. 

Is parking available?
Yes, complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests.

Are there Electric Vehicle Charging Stations?
Yes, they are available for guests and visitors of the retreat. Charging stations have a flat rate of $40 per day.

What are the booking terms and conditions?
When making a reservation at Piermont Retreat, you acknowledge and accept our cancellation and refund policies. Specifically, a one-night deposit will be deducted from the credit card provided at the time of booking, with the remaining balance charged to the same credit card one day prior to your arrival date. While we are flexible and willing to assist with changes, rescheduling, or refunds for your booking, there are two exceptions: changes requested within 30 days of your arrival date or for stays encompassing the period from December 22nd to January 3rd, and Easter.
